The recording is part of the National Blues Museum's Sitting on the Porch series, which follows the tradition of informal jam sessions with traveling musicians stopping by to play with the local musicians. The structures of the blues allow some structure to the performance, but also room for improvisation. In addition, while Stevie Wonder is not synonymous with the blues, the performance shows how large the genre is.
