- Description
- French Colonial currency played a role in the selling of goods and services in St. Genevieve. These coins can be found across New France, as far south as New Orleans to French Canada. They were made of copper and called sols. The Centre for French Colonial Life has many examples of these coins on display in their exhibit gallery.
