American Idiot on Broadway
Broadway has been no stranger to protest art, especially that of Jewish and LGBTQIA+ artists, but Green Day introduced it to punk rock by adapting American Idiot for the stage. The show has won two Tony Awards as well as a Grammy, legitimizing it as a work of musical theatre.
